We are currently looking for a hard-working individual to fill the position of “Supervisor, food services” at our food service establishment, 2483895 Ontario INC. O/A  Subway sandwiches and salads.

Subway is a Multinational restaurant franchise, and we specialize in sandwiches (subs), salads wraps and more. Our location is located in Newmarket Ontario, and we focus on quality food and customer services.

We are looking for an experienced candidate to add to our team. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in English with good oral communication skills. Candidates must have a minimum education of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. We are looking for someone who holds experience in a similar position for a minimum of one (1) year to less than two (2) years.

The Candidate will hold a supervisor position, making sure the restaurant and services are running smoothly. You will Supervise and check the assembly of trays, and delivery of food trolleys. The candidate will maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage and prepare and submit reports. As a Food service supervisor, you will have to ensure food service and quality control and estimate and order ingredients and supplies. You will be in charge of hiring food service staff, Establish work schedules, and supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. You will also be responsible for addressing customers’ complaints or concerns.

We are looking for a hardworking candidate that is client focused, has flexibility and is a great team player. The ideal candidate must have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Work conditions and physical capabilities include, working in a fast  paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be standing for extended periods of time at some points.

This is a permanent full time position the requires 37.5 hours per week with an hourly pay of $19.00/hour. Youth, Indigenous people, and newcomers to Canada are welcome and encouraged to apply.

There will be supervision of 3-4 individuals at a time.
