Salary: $43 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineer to join our consulting firm. As a Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of piping systems. You will supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems, develop maintenance standards and schedules, plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems. You will also be responsible for preparing contract documents and evaluating tenders for industrial construction or maintenance, supervising technicians, technologists, and other engineers, and reviewing and approving designs, calculations, and cost estimates.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of piping systems.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems.
  • Develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs.
  • Plan and manage projects and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance.
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in piping engineering.
  • Computer and technology knowledge, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Equipment and machinery experience in piping systems.
  • Area of work experience in installation, maintenance and inspection of equipment or facilities, operations or production, purchasing, procurement and contracts, quality assurance or control, and research and development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Supervision:

  • 1 to 2 people.
