Job title: Retail Sales Supervisor (NOC 62010)

For the past 19 years, Lions Bay General Store & Cafe (located between Vancouver and Squamish on the steep eastern shore of Howe Sound) has been providing a unique shopping environment for our customers, offering retail and cafe for the community, while providing excellent customer service. Lions Bay General Store & Cafe is looking for a skilled individual as a Retail Sales Supervisor. As a Retail Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:

• Manage retail staff, including cashiers and people working on the floor.
• Ensure pricing is correct.
• Work on store displays and make sure the displays are clean and ready for the customers.
• Coach, counsel, recruit, train, and discipline employees. Evaluate on-the-job performance.
• Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers. Approve contracts with vendors.
• Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock.
• Keep up with fluctuating supply and demand.
• Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards.
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
• Organize and distribute staff schedules.
• Help retail sales staff achieve sales targets. Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues

What we offer:

• Wage: $23-26 per hour (negotiable)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (35-40 hours per week)

Requirements:

Completion of secondary school

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Experience in a supervisory position in retail or customer service will be preferred

Ability to work under fast-paced environment

Attention to details

Excellent task and time management skills

Excellent communication skills
