Skills Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of secondary/high school graduation certificate
  • Work experience: 1 month to less than 7 months of experience as a cashier is required

 

Job Duties:

·       Welcome and greet customers as they enter the convenience store

·       Determine the price of goods and services, including snacks, drinks, coffee, lottery tickets, tobacco products and calculate the total payment using an electronic cash register, optical price scanner, or other equipment.

·       Receive and process payments by cash, check, credit card, or automatic debit for purchases made at the gas station and convenience store.

·       Bag or wrap merchandise carefully for customers, ensuring safe and convenient handling of their purchases.

·       Provide customers with information about products, services, and store policies, including details about lottery tickets, tobacco products etc.

·       Calculate total payments received at the end of the work shift and reconcile them with the total sales to ensure accurate financial records.

·       Verify the age of customers when selling age-restricted items such as lottery tickets, tobacco etc. in compliance with legal requirements.

·       Stock shelves with merchandise and maintain a clean and organized checkout counter area to create a welcoming shopping environment.
