Accounting Technician

S. McInnes & Associates Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles to support the overall financial operations of the organization.

Duties
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns
• Reconcile accounts

 

Requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software, including, Sage Accounting Software, QuickBooks and Xero
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Must have high school/secondary graduation
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar position

 

Hours: Full Time – 37.5 Hours Per week
Overtime: Required
Pay: $28 Per hour

Family Doctor

Old Scona Medical Centre is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Family Doctor to join our team. Working in a private clinical practice setting, you will:

  • Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals
  • Examine patients’ health condition to identify diseases and injuries
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment
  • Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
  • Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
  • Advise patients on health care
  • Examine patients to assess general physical condition
  • Conduct disease screening
  • Diagnose patients’ diseases and disorders

You will have a clear client focus, while being accurate, dependable, flexible, reliable and a team player. You also mush have good interpersonal skills and excel in oral and written communication. Moreover, you will show that you are organized and exercise good judgment when dealing with clinic clients. You will have the ability to manage a large caseload of files. This a full-time permanent position working a minimum 40 hours per week.

You must be fluent in English, have a Degree in Medicine, College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and have been granted authorization to practice by the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSA). You also will have a minimum of five years of full-time experience in a similar position.

Salary: $250,000 to $350,000 annually (to be negotiated)
