Responsibilities/Tasks
Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
Wrap and package prepared meats
Remove bones from meat
Weigh meats for sale
Cut poultry into parts
Sell meats to customers
Grind meats
Make special sausages
Slice cooked meats
Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products
Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
Food safety/handling skills

 

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge: HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) knowledge
Regulations knowledge: Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations

Long Haul Driver (Noc 73300)

We are looking for safety and service oriented professional long haul truck Drivers who are reliable, organized, and excellent team players.

As a Long-Haul Driver, you will perform all or some of the following duties:

       Address customers’ complaints or concerns

       Professionalism in customer service

       Load and unload goods

       Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

       Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

       Receive and relay information to central dispatch

       Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

       Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

       Willing to travel cross-border in teams

       Willing to travel overnight

       Operate GPS and other navigation equipment, trip computer

Education Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Work Experience: Experience an asset

Security and Safety: Valid Passport, Drug Test

Employment terms: Early Morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Overtime

Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 40 hours / week)

Compensation: CAD $34.10 /hour

Transportation/Travel Experience: Local, Provincial/territorial, long haul, Cross Border
