Galaxie Signs Ltd. located at, 102-5371 Regent St Burnaby, BC Canada V5C 4H4, has
a full time and permanent vacancy for a x1 Signage Production Foreman. See company
website for more information (https://galaxiesigns.com). Work will include on premises
and field work. Will travel to various sites throughout province. Must be willing to
relocate to job location or nearby job location.
Duties to be performed;
• Interpret designs by the sales department to determine the bill of materials to be
purchased by purchasing department
• Develop work order specifications based on the designs
• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
• Supervise the production staff
• Ensure production is complete safely
• Train junior team members in use of power equipment in the manufacturing
process
• Assist management in appointment of new team members
• Assist the install teams to install repair and service signs and structures using
hand and power tools (20 % of the time)
o Install and repair signage using hand and power tools
o prepare the signs for mounting,
o Loading and transporting signs, tools, and materials to the location safely.
o Preparing the site for installation by removing old signage, preparing the
surface or structure, and securing the electrical connections.
o Ensuring the effective measurement, placement, connection, and installation
of the sign.
o Mounting and installing the signs in accordance with all safety protocols.
o Clearing debris and materials from the site after each installation and clean
signage once installed
o Performing maintenance and repairs to signs, as needed.
o Operating and maintaining the tools and equipment in accordance with
safety protocols.
Personal Suitability & Experience Requirements
• Strong skills in the signage industry
• You will need to be highly organized, have good knowledge about the types of
signs, and be comfortable working at heights
• Demonstrate precision and possess a sound understanding of the applicable
construction and installation techniques
• Good knowledge of various types of signs including vinyl, channel letters, Acrylic
/metal signs
• A sound understanding of the applicable installation methods, materials, and safety
measures.
• The ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Physically fit and able to perform strenuous labor including lifting, climbing, and
working at heights.
• The ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
• Personable as you will be representing our company speaking with clients and
other trades people
• Fall protection certification, mobile elevating work platforms, WHIMS 2015
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required for transporting materials to installation
sites.
Education
• Grade 12
Wages & Overtime
• $36.60 per hour
• 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate, after 40 hours per week.
Benefits

• 14 days paid vacation or 4% of gross salary
