Specialist Chef (NOC: 62200)
Number of Positions Available: 1
Terms of Employment: Permanent Position, 30 hours per week
Location of Work: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Wage: $30.16 per Hour
Language Requirements: English

Responsibilities:
• Prepare workstations for cooking.
• Cook and prepare a variety of dishes with an emphasis on Italian or Mediterranean gastronomy.
• Arrange food and ensure an appealing presentation.
• Train kitchen staff if required.
• Supervise kitchen staff and operations.
• Work with a team of Cooks to handle varying levels of activity.
• Maintain freshness of product and rotating old product out.
• Keep inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Memorize recipes, policies, procedures, and standard food portions.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace always.
• Being aware of and following all kitchen health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Plan meal menus.
• Place orders for food and kitchen supplies as required.

Qualifications
• Completion of secondary school.
• Cook’s trade certification or equivalent credentials, training and experience.
• Minimum of two years of similar work experience in the commercial food preparation industry.
• Available to work day, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
