Job Overview:
Rafat General Contracting is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in estimating the cost and scope of various projects, ranging from civil, industrial, commercial, and institutional construction to landscaping and streetscape works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for construction projects, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential construction.
- Provide detailed estimates for projects valued at $8,000,001+.
- Specialize in project management and manage cost forecasting for buildings and structures.
- Conduct quantity surveying and demolition-related tasks.
- Collaborate on projects involving electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering aspects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Technology/Surveying or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years or more of relevant experience in estimating large-scale construction projects.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required.
Specializations:
- Experience in civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering within construction.
- Expertise in project size estimating for projects exceeding $8 million.
- Familiarity with various types of construction, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential.
Work Setting:
- On-site work required in Bolton, ON. This is an on-site position, and there is no option for remote work.
