Employer: Masud Ahmadi Sagheb Location: 13625 Blake loop Maple Ridge, BC, V4R 0B3   We are seeking a Home Support Worker an elderly woman, 82 years of age. She has had a serious stroke and is unable to walk, manage her bowel and bladder functions, feed, dress or bathe herself without assistance.  She is functionally paralyzed on her entire right side. The duties of the Home Support Worker include

• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene, dressing and undressing on a daily basis
• Plan and prepare meals and snacks
• Assist in feeding
• Administering medication
• Housekeeping duties, including ensuring the house is clean and tidy, laundry, clean up after meals
• Drive her to doctor’s appointments, as and when required

  Requirements:

• Previous experience of at least 1 – 2 years as caregiver is required
• Able to read and communicate in English
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Having any related education or training is an asset
• Must be willing to work flexible hours
• Must be able to work independently in an unsupervised setting.
• Fluency in Farsi language will be an asset
