Job Description:
Happy Drywall Ltd is looking for Drywall Installers responsible for installing wallboards to ceilings or to interior walls of buildings and applying plaster. Apply or mount acoustical tiles or blocks, strips, or sheets of shock-absorbing materials to ceiling and walls of buildings.
Job responsibilities include:
• Apply drywall to walls or ceilings
• Measure, Cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
• Reads blueprints and other specifications to determine method of installation, work procedures and material and tool requirement
• Removes plaster, drywall or paneling using crowbar and hammer
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs
• Fill joints, holes and cracks with compound using a trowel and broad knife
• Smooth out imperfections and sand areas after each coast
Skills:
• Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects
• Able to determine the kinds of tools and equipment needed to do a job
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses and buildings
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles
• Knowledge of machines and power tools used for repair and maintenance
Requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience required
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Language: English
