Permanent Position: Plumber

Start Date: As soon as possible

Wage rate: $30 – $35 per hour ; To be negotiated depend on experience/ 30-40 hours per week

JOB REQUIREMENT 

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience 

Language: English

 

JOB DUTIES

Install and maintain water supply systems, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures.

Set up and connect appliances that require plumbing, such as dishwashers, water heaters, and washing machines.

Repair or replace broken or leaking pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing components.

Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.

Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems

Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors

Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings

Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment

Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges

Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing

Estimate costs and materials

Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size

 

Working setting : Construction, residential and commercial.
Work conditions:

  • Bending, crouching, kneeling

  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking

  • Physically demanding
