A family owned dining lounge is looking for a line cook to work at its location on 260 Hearst Way,
Kanata, Ontario, on a full-time, temporary, non-seasonal, /2/ TWO years' contract, and perform the
following duties:
* Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or
other food or beverage service.
* Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
* Recruit staff and oversee staff training.
* Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.
* Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices.
* Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
* Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
5 years of experience in the field of Restaurant management is required, college or non-university
Education in the field of management is required; University diploma is an asset.
Salary: $28/h for /40/ hours per week and overtime starts after /40/ hours per week at the rate of $42/h.
Schedule: /5/ days per week and two days off to be chosen with the supervisor.
Vacation: 10 days off per year or 4%.
Language: English or French.
Education requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
