We are seeking a Roofer Helper to assist our roofers in providing quality work for our clients. We provide the vehicle, tools, cell phone, benefits, and competitive pay.

Location: 1367 East Kent Ave N, Vancouver, BC V5X 4T6

Salary: $27.50 / hour

Benefits: Extended medical benefits

Job Requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Secondary School

Area of specialization: low and/or slope roofing, sheet metal

Experience: 1-2 years

Security and safety: Bondable

Work site environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty, Dangerous, Outdoors

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically

demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, Hand-eye co-ordination, handling heavy

loads, large workload, overtime required, repetitive tasks, work under pressure

Work setting: Various locations, Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, Residential

Own tools/equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hardhat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety harness, Gloves

Personal Suitability: Client focused, dependability, excellent oral communication,

excellent written communication, reliability, team player

Job Duties

  • Assist tradespersons such as roofers. carpenters, bricklayers, and cement
  • finishers in construction activities
  • Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
  • Lift roofing materials onto roof using pulleys or ladder.
  • Apply tile, slate, or composition materials to roof.
  • Scrape or pull off old roofing material.
  • Clean work areas and equipment.
  • Set ladders, scaffolds, and hoists in place for taking supplies to roofs.
  • Unload materials and tools from work trucks, and unroll roofing as directed.
