Job duties:
- Initiate and enforce operational policies and procedures
- Recruit, train, supervise and appraise staff
- Manage and assign duties for supervisors
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential
and actual customers to understand service requirements. - Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale.
- Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget
- Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store
- Oversee inventory by working closely with vendors
- Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
- Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
