Metal Products Assembler

BAUCO Access Panel Solutions Inc located at 834 Devonshire Road, Esquimalt, BC, V9A 4T4, is hiring metal products assembler.

 

Number of positions – 5

 

The duties of the metal products assembler will be as follows.

  • Operate machines, use hand tools, or power tools to cut, shape and fit materials to form parts and to fabricate components and products.
  • Load supplies into hoppers of dispensing units or manually align, feed, or otherwise place materials into machines.
  • Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld or otherwise assemble parts and components to form final products.
  • Sand, trim, grind, or clean products into final form using hand tools.
  • Clean workstations and remove scraps, dust, shavings or other by-products from machinery and surrounding areas.
  • Make routine changes of dies, nozzles or other machinery attachments as required.

 

Education Required

  • Secondary School required

 

Experience Required

  • On the job training will be provided
  • Experience in a similar role will be considered an asset but is not required.

  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • High attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to perform repetitive and physical tasks.
  • Basic hand tool experience (shop, construction, mechanical, etc.)
  • A strong work ethic and team approach are keys to success at Bauco.

 

Job Type:

  • Full-time, Permanent

 

Salary:

  • $24.50 per hour

 

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours

Responsibilities
Review, evaluate, and implement new administrative procedures, Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met,
Carry out administrative activities of establishment, Assist in the preparation of the operating budget, and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence, Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures

Experience: 1 year or higher
