Kitchen Attendant

JOB DUTIES

Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients.
Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare salads and desserts.
Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers.
Sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist cook and kitchen staff.
Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and other storage areas.
Remove dishes before and after courses.

 

SKILLS

Good health condition.

Ability to lift and carry heavy items properly.

Demonstrated interest in food preparation and kitchen operations.

Time management skills.

Basic food preparation skills.

Basic cleaning and maintenance skills.

Restaurant Supervisor

  • Location:  875 Saint David St N Fergus, ON  N1M 2W3
  • Salary:   17.00 to 19.00 hourly for 35 hours per week minimum wage is not guaranteed

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
  • Ensure food service and quality control
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Establish work schedules
