Cleaning Supervisor

Cleaning supervisors supervise and coordinate the activities of workers in the following unit groups: Light-duty cleaners (6731), Specialized cleaners (6732), and Janitors, caretakers, and building superintendents (6733). They are employed by hospitals and other health care institutions, hotels, motels, schools and other educational institutions, commercial and industrial establishments, home and office cleaning establishments, and by various specialized cleaning companies.

Job Duties

 

  • This group performs some or all of the following duties:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of light-duty, industrial, or specialized cleaners and janitors
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment
  • Hire and train cleaning staff
  • Prepare work schedule and co-ordinate activities with those of other departments
  • Prepare budget, estimate costs, and keep financial records
  • Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs
  • May perform certain cleaning duties.

Electronic Service Technician (NOC 22311)

Major Duties

  • Install household and business security surveillance systems
  • Diagnose, repair, and service surveillance units
  • Review work orders and discuss them with the supervisor
  • Install surveillance system, wire it properly, and ensure wiring is done securely
  • Setup central recording device, and connect all cameras with it
  • Train end users to record, monitor, and alert notifications- both on the central hard device and on the client's mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot equipment problem and repair them
  • Prepare daily field reports
  • Ensure client's privacy is maintained

Education

College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience

Salary

$28.70/ Hour

  • Overtime Pay (1.5 times of hourly wage after 40 hours of working in a week and or after 8 hours in a given day)
  • Vacation pay: as per Saskatchewan Standards (3 weeks or 5.77% of vacation pay
