Captain's Boil is looking for an experienced and talented cook to join our team. We are a popular seafood restaurant chain that specializes in Cajun-style seafood boils. As a Cook at Captain's Boil, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting our signature seafood dishes to our customers.

Salary – $18/hr Working Hours– 35 to 40 hours per week Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook seafood dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.
  • Follow restaurant menu and portion control guidelines to minimize food waste and maintain food costs.
  • Participate in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 months to 1 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant setting.
  • Completion of Secondary school.
  • Knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Weld Tester to join our team. As a Weld Tester, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing on welded materials to ensure they meet specified standards and customer requirements. You will be required to transport, set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment, conduct tests, interpret results and organize and report test results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport, set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
  • Conduct tests using ultrasonic, radiographic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current and other non-destructive testing methods.
  • Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Perform specialized inspections using acoustic emission, vibration analysis, infrared thermography and laser shearography testing methods (if qualified).
  • Instruct and supervise trainees (if required).

Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Completion of a welding or metallurgical technician program is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in non-destructive testing of welded materials.
  • Proficient in interpreting welding symbols and codes.
  • Knowledge of welding standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with various non-destructive testing techniques and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Compensation:

39.80 /hr
