ROAD TRAIN EXPRESS INC. is looking for the position of Trucking Company General Manager for their location at 84 Heart Lake Road S, Brampton, ON L6W 3K1

Job Title: Trucking Company General Manager

Nature of Employment: Permanent Full-Time Position

Salary: $61.00 per hour for 37.5 hours/week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends

Job duties:

·         Formulate, approve, and establish several objectives, policies, and programs for the development of the company

·         Ensure the arrangement of material, human, and financial resources to implement the organization’s policies and programs.

·         Plan, organize and direct financial and administrative controls of the company

·         Monitor, formulate, and approve the Organization’s promotional Campaigns

·         Plan and perform overall personnel planning and related standards for the Transportation Company

·         Develop, organize, and implement the establishment of the major departments and associated senior staff positions

·         Co-ordinate the work of regions and oversee the performance of the organization’s divisions or departments.

Language: English

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: 5 Years or More

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
  • Monitor staff performance
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Recruit staff
  • Set staff work schedules
  • Supervise staff
  • Train staff
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Cost products and services
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • Provide customer service
  • Manage events
