Colonsay Bar & Chinese Food Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. This is an on-site role in a rural community, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on leadership and operational responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop budgets to maintain profitability
- Monitor and evaluate daily restaurant operations
- Adjust menu pricing and food preparation methods based on budget
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily activities
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff (3–4 employees)
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations
- Manage inventory and negotiate with suppliers
- Handle customer complaints and provide excellent customer service
- Coordinate catering services and event bookings
- Participate in marketing planning and execution
- Use POS systems and MS Office for operational tasks
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in restaurant or food service management
- English required; Chinese considered an asset
- Valid driver’s licence and access to transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills
