Accounting Technician

S. McInnes & Associates Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles to support the overall financial operations of the organization.

Duties
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns
• Reconcile accounts

 

Requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software, including, Sage Accounting Software, QuickBooks and Xero
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Must have high school/secondary graduation
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar position

 

Hours: Full Time – 37.5 Hours Per week
Overtime: Required
Pay: $28 Per hour

Personal Care Aide – Home Care (NOC/TEER 44101)

EducationCompletion of secondary school is required, Care Aide Certificate is required, Nursing background is an asset.

Experience: Minimum 1 year work experience will be required and checked.

Specific Skills and Work Performance

  • Provide care and companionship for individuals and families during periods of incapacitation, convalescence, or family disruption.
  • Performing ADLs/ IADLs (Activities of daily living/ Instrumental Activity of daily living)
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing.
  • Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding clients.
  • May perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications, and collecting specimens under the general direction of home care agency supervisor or nurse.
  • May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.
  • Knowledge of lifts (ceiling lifts/ overhead lifts).
  • Report to and assist managers for issues and daily job duties.
