Salary: $37.50 hourly for 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

– Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required;

– Completion of secondary (high) school graduation is required;

– 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience in commercial food preparation is required;

– Work experience in a Japanese restaurant and/or knowledge on Japanese cuisines is an asset.

 

Job Duties: 

– Prepare and cook food on a regular basis;

– Prepare and present Sushi and Sashimi dishes such as Omakase Sushi and Sashimi, Sushi Gozen, Sashimi Gozen, Sushi/Sashimi A La Carte, Negi Hama Roll, and Negi Toro Roll; 

– Requisition food and kitchen supplies;

– Instruct and train staff in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, as well as handling of food;

– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances upon request;

– Plan and create new Sushi and Sashimi menus;

– Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.

As a Welder, you will perform all or some of the following duties:

·       Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment

·       Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes

·       Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications

·       Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines

·       Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal

·       Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)

·       Determine weldability of materials

·       Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products

·       Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal

·       Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment

                                                                                                                          

Education Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Work experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 35 hours / week), Paid Vacation

Compensation: CAD $36.25/hour
