Salary: $37.00/hour · 40 hours/week

Experience: 3 to less than 5 years

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

 

Responsibilities

* Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts

* Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly

* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables

* Set up and adjust production machineries/tools

* Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances

* Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

* Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)

* Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools

* Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments

* Program CNC machine tools

 

Experience and Specialization

Measuring tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Calibre, Gauges, Verniers

Computer and technology knowledge: Mastercam CAD/CAM

Equipment and machinery experience: Boring machines, Engine lathes, Milling machines, Computer numerical control (CNC) machines

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Monitor and inspect quality of material produced

·      Place weighed materials in mixing machines

·      Operate mixing machine to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity

·      Unload mixture into container or conveyor for further processing

·      Pack items for shipping and distribution

·      Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die

·      Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change

·      Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products

·      Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change

·      Trimming and sanding plastic or fiberglass parts
