Education and Experience

·      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

·      5 years or more of relevant experience in retail/clothing store

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Direct and control daily operations
  2. Evaluate daily operations
  3. Plan and organize daily operations
  4. Manage staff and assign duties
  5. Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitor’s operations on sales
  6. Determine merchandise and services to be sold
  7. Implement price and credits policies
  8. Develop and implement marketing strategies
  9. Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
  10. Determine staffing requirements
  11. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  12. Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
  13. Oversee payroll administration
  14. Conduct performance reviews
  15. Supervise 5-10 people

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Operations Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and successful operation of our store, with responsibilities ranging from managing staff to handling inventory and customer relations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers
  • Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules
  • Authorize payments and the return of merchandise
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
  • Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff; monitor and report on their performance
  • Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, including displays, signage, and cleanliness
  • Perform the same duties as workers supervised when needed
  • Perform key holding and managerial duties such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries


Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position: 35 to 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Previous retail sales experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role, is required
