Task for Hairstylists

  • Suggest hairstyle compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s instructions and preferences
  • Cut, trim, taper, curl, and style hair
  • Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
  • May shampoo and rinse hair
  • May perform receptionist duties and order supplies
  • May train or supervise other hairstylists, hairstylist apprentices and helpers.

Work Conditions and Physical capabilities:

  • High volume hair salon in the heart of Southwest Edmonton. Significant repeat clientele and walk ins.  Business continues to grow at rapid pace.
  • Must be able to stand for a long period of time due to continuous clientele

Language

  • English

Education

  • Completion of Secondary Education required
  • Completion of a Vocational program in Hair Styling required

Experience

  • a minimum of 3 years’ experience in lieu of vocational certification

Wages $20.30 hourly plus gratuity
