Operations Manager

41-9 Aerial Ltd. is seeking to fill the permanent, full-time position of Operations Manager. 41-9 Aerial Ltd. offers aerial crop spraying, fungicide application, desiccation, as well as numerous other services including aerial sightseeing flights.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for

  • Organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the operations of the company;
  • Hiring and overseeing training and supervision of staff
  • Flight scheduling;
  • Liaising with the regulatory authority on all matters concerning flight operations;
  • Liaison with any external agencies and customers which may affect company operations;
  • Ensuring that the company’s operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations, standards, and company policy;
  • Ensuring the qualifications of the company pilot(s) are up to date;
  • Controlling operations and operational standards of R44 and AS350 helicopters;

Controlling operations and operational standards of a fixed-wing aircraft;

  • Managing existing client contracts;
  • Day-to-day communications with clients;
  • Marketing of 41-9 Aerial Ltd.’s services.

Educational requirements: Applicants must possess a minimum of a college-level diploma and three years of flight operations-related work experience. A commercial helicopter pilot’s license or ability to become licensed would be considered an asset as would a fixed-wing license or ability to become licensed.

Skills requirements: Applicants should be familiar with R44 and AS350 helicopters as these are used by 41-9 Aerial Ltd. Applicants’ should have strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. The language of employment will be English. All applicants must be fluent in English.

41-9 Aerial Ltd. is based at SW-14-26-3-W4M, OYEN, Alberta, T0J 0A0 in Acadia Valley, Alberta. All applicants must be willing and able to relocate to the Acadia Valley area. 41-9 Aerial Ltd. will not cover relocation costs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently accepting resumes from organized and team-oriented individuals who are looking for a career as a Volvo Heavy Duty Service Technician – JM at our Calmont Truck Centre locations – Calgary and Edmonton.

As a Volvo Heavy Duty Technician, you will be responsible for providing efficient and quality service, repairs, adjustments and maintenance of light and heavy duty trucks as assigned by the Shop Foreman. Other job duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtaining work orders from Shop Foreman and review them to ensure understanding.
  • Interpreting work orders and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose the source of any faults and malfunctions and perform repairs.
  • Performing work as noted on work order and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Examining vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed.
  • Testing repaired vehicles for proper performance to ensure that completed work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations.
  • Completing detailed written report for the completion of work order.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 – 3 years of heavy duty on-road experience.
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Valid Class 3 Drivers License considered an asset.
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
