 Overview

Stefano’s Inc. is currently seeking a Long Haul Truck Driver. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for a motivated individual with cross-border trucking experience and a focus on safety, reliability, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive tractor-trailer (A-train) to transport goods and materials over long distances, including international routes
  • Conduct and document pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Load and unload goods, ensure proper tarping and securement of cargo
  • Perform routine maintenance, brake adjustments, and emergency roadside repairs
  • Maintain accurate driver logbooks, fuel records, and trip documentation
  • Obtain necessary permits and trans-border documentation
  • Communicate efficiently with central dispatch and comply with scheduling
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy when required

Qualifications

  • Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Language: English (required)
  • License: Valid AZ Class License

Responsibilities
Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed
Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Load and unload goods
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform brake adjustments
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
