Tasks

·         Evaluate daily operations

·         Monitor revenues to determine labour cost

·         Monitor staff performance

·         Plan and organize daily operations

·         Recruit staff

·         Set staff work schedules

·         Supervise staff

·         Train staff

·         Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures

·         Conduct performance reviews

·         Cost products and services

·         Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations

·         Organize and maintain inventory

·         Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

·         Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

·         Participate in marketing plans and implementation

·         Address customers’ complaints or concerns

·         Establish work schedules

·         Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures

·         Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food

Job Description

As an Architectural Project Manager, you will conceptualize, plan, and develop designs for commercial, institutional, and residential building projects. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects meet design specifications, budgets, and timelines.

Key Duties:

  • Consult with clients to determine project requirements, style, and objectives.
  • Conceptualize and design buildings, preparing plans and specifications.
  • Prepare sketches, models, and construction documents for contractors.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and award construction contracts.
  • Monitor construction sites for compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses of building projects.
  • Coordinate project teams, resources, and schedules to ensure timely completion.

Physical Demands: Primarily sedentary work with some repetitive motions.

Employment Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of architecture or completion of the syllabus from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC).
  • Completion of a three-year internship under the supervision of a registered architect.
  • Completion of the Architect Registration Examination.
  • Registration with a provincial regulatory body (required in all provinces and the Northwest Territories).
  • Master’s degree in architecture and LEED certification may be required depending on employer needs.
