Job Type: Full time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week. Overtime at the rate of 1.5 times after 40 hours per week.

Wage: $29 per hour

 

Benefits: 4% vacation pay. Extended Medical Coverage for of up to 80% after completing 90 days with the company

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience:  Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a painter in a construction environment is required.

Language: English

JOB DUTIES

Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces for painting

Repair cracks and holes in surfaces

Mix paint to achieve the desired color and texture

Advise clients on color schemes and wall coverings

Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces

Estimate costs and materials for projects

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Willingness to work in various environments, including both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or on weekends, if required.

  • Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management.
  • Several years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
  • Responsible beverage service certification is usually required for managers of establishments serving alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities.  

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Evaluate daily operations, recruit staff, and oversee staff training.
  • Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.
  • Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Leading/instructing individuals.
