Job Description

1279225 Ontario Ltd. c/o Mayfair Trading Co., Ltd. is a meat supplier in Ontario. We are looking to hire two full-time Meat Cutters. This position is responsible for the cutting and preparation of all meats. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees, customers and suppliers.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Receive deliveries of meats and inspect them to ensure that they adhere to the highest quality standards
  • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
  • Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Cut poultry into parts
  • Grind meats
  • Make special sausages
  • Prepare special orders
  • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products
  • Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment, displays and work area
  • Follow all safety regulations & support others in working safely
  • Regularly clean the counters to reduce the risk of food contamination and adhere to food safety guidelines

 

 

Job Type: Permanent, full-time position

 

Salary: $18.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

 

Overtime: 1.5 times the wages after 44 hours per week

 

Education: Completion of high school

 

Experience:

  • Willingness to learn all aspects of meat production
  • No prior experience required
  • Will train

 

Language Requirement: English
