Interior Decorator Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation: Meeting with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints. This involves discussing their vision for the space and any specific requirements they may have.
  • Design Development: Creating design concepts and plans based on the client's preferences, incorporating elements such as color schemes, furniture selection, lighting, and decor. This may involve creating mood boards, sketches, or 3D renderings to visually communicate ideas.
  • Space Planning: Analyzing the layout of a room or space to optimize functionality and flow. This includes determining the placement of furniture, fixtures, and other elements to maximize comfort and usability while adhering to aesthetic principles.
  • Material and Product Selection: Researching and sourcing materials, furnishings, and accessories that align with the design concept and meet the client's quality and budget requirements. This may involve visiting showrooms, browsing catalogs, and coordinating with suppliers.
  • Project Coordination: Overseeing the implementation of the design plan, which may include coordinating with contractors, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure that work is completed according to specifications and timelines.
  • Budget Management: Developing and managing budgets for design projects, including estimating costs, tracking expenses, and finding cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or design integrity.
  • Client Communication and Presentation: Keeping clients informed about project progress, presenting design concepts and proposals for their approval, and addressing any feedback or concerns they may have throughout the process. This also involves effectively communicating design ideas and rationale to ensure client satisfaction.

Henna tattoo artist

We are currently looking for an two experienced individuals to fill our " Henna tattoo artist " position at our SPA, Softtouch Spa And Hair Inc. 

Softtouch Spa and Hair Inc. is our SPA located in Scarborough and specializing in body wrap, facial peels, IPL, microdermabrasion, injection treatments, pedicures and manicures. 

We are looking for experienced and passionate individuals to join our Softtouch team! The ideal candidates must be able to communicate in English with excellent oral communication skills and have a minimum of a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. We are also looking for a candidate who has minimum of two (2) years to less than three (3) years’ experience in a related position. 

The candidates will be responsible for the aesthetic services of our spa. You will be in charge of advising customers on beauty products suited to customers' colouring and skin type. You will be in charge of conducting Mendhi (henna – temporary designs). You will be in charge of providing product demonstrations to customers. You will also be in charge of scheduling and confirming appointments.

Work conditions and physical capabilities for this position include, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, and hand-eye co-ordination. The ideal candidate should be able to complete repetitive tasks and have an eye for attention to detail. You will have to work with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking and at times you may be standing for extended periods of time. 

We are looking for a candidate who is extremely client focused with efficient interpersonal skills. You must be a team player and be able to have reliability within the work environment.

This job requires supervision of 5-10 people at a time. The work environment can be noisy and busy at times. 

If you are selected there will be a basic security clearance before hiring.   

This is a permanent and full-time position requiring 37.5 hours/week with an hourly pay of $18.00-$20.00/hour. We are accepting applications from Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents of Canada.
