Responsibilities


Tasks

  • Prepare reports or case histories
  • Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services
  • Develop specialized rehabilitation programs
  • Implement life skills workshops
  • Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
  • Conduct follow-up assessments
  • Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety
  • Implement substance abuse treatment programs
  • Implement behaviour management programs
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
  • Establish registry of special needs support workers
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
  • Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
  • Manage events
  • Manage knowledge
  • Offer mentoring

Position Overview

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
  •  Engineer perimeter firewall solutions based on customer needs, for net new installations and infrastructure refreshes.
  • Follow strict change control and internal process requirements.
  • Operate and configure network equipment (Switches, Firewalls, routers, VPN)
  • Load computer tapes and disks and install software and printer paper and forms
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
  • Modify Web pages, applets and scripts
  • Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers
  • Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
  • Deployment of defined standards, best practices and guidelines.
