Responsibilities/Duties:

 

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and materials required.

 

Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

 

Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools

 

Construct, install, and repair decks, railings, stairs, doors, windows, and other wooden frameworks.

 

Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

 

Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs

 

Operate power tools, saws, drills, and other hand tools safely and efficiently.

 

Inspect and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.

 

Ensure that all work meets quality standards and complies with building codes and safety regulations.

RESTAURANT MANAGER

A Locally owned Pizza Franchise Operating in Nova Scotia, is looking for a Restaurant Manager to work at its location on 99 COBEQUID ROAD, LOWER SACKVILLE, NS, B4C 2N2, on a full-time, temporary, non-seasonal, /2/ TWO years’ contract, and perform the following duties:

1- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the restaurant.

2- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.

3- Recruit staff and oversee staff training.

4- Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.

5- Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices.

6- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

7- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.

Requirements:

1 to 2 years of experience in the field of Restaurant management,

Secondary/High-School/Baccalaureate diploma/certificate is required, University education or diploma is an asset.

Salary: $38/h for 30 to 40 hours per week and overtime starts after /40/ hours per week at the rate of $63/h. Schedule: /5/ days per week and two days off to be chosen with the supervisor.

Vacation: 10 days off per year or 4%
