Job requirements

Languages:  English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR.

Experience: One year to less than 2 years in a child care position.

Children's Ages: School age – 6 years old; toddler – age 2-3 years old.

Schedule: Monday to Friday: Weekends  as needed.

We are looking for a responsible child caregiver to assist us with child care in our home, close to Douglas Park in Vancouver, BC.

Your main duties will be as following:

  • Take children to and from school and kindergarten,
  • Take children to and from appointments, after school activities or playdates,
  • Tend to emotional well-being of children,
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals,
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children and supervise and keep them safe,
  • Bathe, dress and feed young children
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development,
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home or when the children are playing outside,
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents,
  • Help children with homework, if necessary,
  • Inform parents about daily activities and health issues for each child,
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.

Security and Safety: Criminal record check; Reference required.

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, and scent free, no use of social media when engaging with children.

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.

Work Location Information: Work in employer's home.

Additional Skills:

Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens; Shop for food and household supplies; Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.

Job Description:

  • Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings.
  • Develop, direct, and evaluate the marketing strategy for the company.
  • Provide sales promotion for company’s tools and products. Advise clients on sales or advertising promotion.
  • Liaison with local retailers and cooperators, advise updates and develop connection and business partnerships. 
  • Develop local media accounts and manage company’s websites and prepare market reports and all other market materials.

Requirements:

  • College or Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Basic web and design skills and proficiency in relevant marketing tools and design software.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, including social media, email marketing, and PPC advertising.
  • Ability to organize and execute in-store events and promotions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other marketing tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
