Customer Service Supervisor – Housing Construction Responsibilities

  • Oversee, organize, and manage the tasks of construction personnel involved in various home construction and decorating trades, such as bricklaying, roofing, cement finishing, tile setting, plastering, drywall installation, glazing, insulation, and painting. Additionally, supervise workers responsible for the installation and maintenance of prefabricated products in both residential and commercial properties.
  • Generate and compile detailed production reports outlining project progress, resource utilization, and any issues encountered during construction.
  • Create comprehensive reports on material usage, costs, and project timelines to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Provide direct oversight to construction teams, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of construction personnel, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating the sequencing of tasks to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to synchronize activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process, conducting interviews and making staffing recommendations.
  • Oversee onboarding procedures and manage staffing changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Identify training needs within the construction team and coordinate training sessions to enhance skills and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software for project planning, design modifications, and documentation.
  • Stay current with construction technology and software advancements, implementing relevant tools to improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the setup and calibration of construction machinery and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Conduct detailed cost estimations for construction projects, considering materials, labour, and overhead expenses.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source and secure cost-effective materials without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective measures to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Evaluate employee performance and recommend promotions, disciplinary actions, or other personnel-related decisions.
  • Collaborate with higher management to address workforce-related issues and optimize team dynamics.
  • Interpret and analyze construction blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
