Key Responsibilities:
• Extensive experience connecting directly with SQL data sources, with a preference for expertise in data warehouses.
• Strong data modeling skills, capable of transforming data using SQL to meet specific requirements.
• Proficient understanding of DAX and the ability to optimize data models to minimize DAX complexity.
• Desirable capability to design scalable data models catering to the needs of hundreds of users.
• Hands-on experience in creating user-defined aggregation tables.
• Proficient in version control using GIT.
• Familiarity with 3rd party tools such as ALM Toolkit, DAX Studio, etc., to enhance development processes.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest features and enhancements in Power BI.
• Experience in utilizing partitions and familiarity with XMLA Endpoint is preferred.
Skills required:
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a focus on connecting with SQL data sources.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data transformation and manipulation.
- Solid understanding of DAX for efficient data modeling.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly GIT.
- Familiarity with 3rd party tools like ALM Toolkit, DAX Studio, etc.
- Ability to design scalable data models for large user bases.
- Proactive in keeping up-to-date with the latest features and best practices in Power BI.
- Preferred experience with partitions and knowledge of XMLA Endpoint.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location – Temporarily remote from within Canada
Salary: $46.50 per hour
Education Required
- A degree or a college program in a related field is required.
Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years of related work experience is required.
