Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians
  • Estimate costs of materials and time to complete graphic designs and illustrations
  • Adapt existing illustrations
  • Assist in developing storyboards for electronic productions
  • Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations in order to meet their communications needs
  • Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations
  • Produce 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials
  • Co-ordinate sub-contracting
  • Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials
  • Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication
  • Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives
  • Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers
  • Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements

Production Painter

CQM is a custom metal fabrication company located in Aylmer Ont. We deliver a variety of manufacturing solutions to other companies as well as manufacturing our own box blade product line. We’re a rapidly growing company that’s thriving and expanding thanks to our employee’s dedication to quality, on time delivery and customer service.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated painter to join our growing company in Aylmer Ontario. This position is for dayshift from 6:30 am to 4:45 pm Monday to Thursday and 6:30 to 11:30 am Friday. Some overtime may be required. Shift times may be adjusted seasonally to adapt to summer and winter light and temperature conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for application of a liquid 2-part process epoxy paint.
  • Maintain a clean, well organized work area.
  • Set and maintain very high-quality standards.
  • Able to service and maintain painting equipment.
  • Work cooperatively with blast equipment operators and other departments.
  • Operate blasting equipment when required.
  • Very safety conscious and always use the available protective equipment and devices.
  • Be responsible and self-directed.

Qualifications:  

  • Language: English is required. Spanish and German are assets.
  • Forklift operation is an asset.
  • 1 – 3 years in application of liquid paint application.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be well organized and have a good attendance record.
  • Pays attention to quality and detail.
  •  Have a positive attitude, taking initiative and pride in your work.
  • Commitment to quality and workplace safety.
  • References are required.

Compensation:

  • $23 – $27 per hour based on interview, work records, references, skill and experience
  • Time and a half after 44 hours
  • Health benefits after 90-day probation period.
