Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures
  • Delegate work to office support staff
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Carry out administrative activities of establishment
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence

Location: Surrey, BC

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

 

Main Duties:

  • Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments and insurance and pension plans for various multiple companies.
  • Maintain, run and make payroll, write payroll cheques manually or using accounting software systems along with storing, updating and retrieving financial data using both computerized softwares and manual records
  • Prepare T4 statements, Prepare CRA monthly remittance statements of the companies
  • Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements
  • Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment and medical insurance
  • Inform employers and employees about payroll matters and benefit plans
  • Compile statistics and reports while calculating regular pay, overtime pay and stat pay of the employees and benefit entitlements according to the prevailing laws. 
  • Check, relay and answer queries of clients via Telephone or Emails along with co-ordinating the flow of information internally with accountants, bookkeepers and from the reception
