Responsibilities
Tasks
Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Storytelling
Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
Knowledge of Day Nurseries Act
Establish guidelines for behaviour
Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants

Job Location: 5718 – 173 Street, Surrey, BC, V3S 4A2. Various locations in the lower mainland.

Position: Heavy Duty Cleaner/ Junk removal

Term of employment: Permanent Full time; 30- 40 per week

No. of vacancies: 01

Start Date: As soon as possible

Wage rate: $22.00 – $25 per hour 

 

JOB REQUIREMENT 

Education: Not required

Experience: Will train, experience is an Asset.

Language: Not required

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding Bending, crouching, kneeling, Repetitive tasks.

 

JOB DUTIES

Remove Junks and debris of residential or commercial property

Help Packing and carrying miscellaneous junk items to load a truck  

Perform deep cleaning such as Sweep, mop, scrub  hallways, floors and stairs

Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse

Empty trash cans and other waste containers

Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings

Perform safety and security checks

Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies

Work with minimum supervision
