Tasks

  • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties

  • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children

SHEET METAL INSTALLER

A Family owned business specializing in providing mechanical solutions, with a focus on quality workmanship and reliable service, based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and serving a variety of industries with a range of services related to mechanical systems including HVAC, electrical, and other building systems.

We are looking for 5 workers for the position of “SHEET METAL INSTALLER NOC 72102” with 1 to 2 years’ experience in the field, to work on a full-time, non-seasonal, 2 years term contract with a salary that could reach $37.95/h based on the experience and knowledge. 

Job description:

1- Read engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates.
2- May develop patterns for sheet metal using computer-assisted design and drafting (CAD) software package.
3- Operate light metalworking machines such as shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses, including computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.
3- Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment.
4- Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, eaves troughs, partition frames, air and heat ducts, material handling systems, roof decking and sheet metal buildings.
5- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
6- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces.
7- Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications.
8- May specialize in on-site installation or shop manufacture of sheet metal products, or servicing and maintenance of installed equipment and systems.
