Officially reestablished its headquarters in Burnaby, BC, with a team of more than 20 young but passionate team members, Bluemyth is an innovative smart hardware and mobile internet application company that is centered on the IoT platform. We have become the biggest Canadian Parcel “Last Mile” Solution provider in lower mainland and will expand the business to other provinces in the near future.

Annual Compensation: starting from $100,000 with bonus

Job Description:

  1. Set up the business expansion plan and budgeting.
  2. Global Funding targeting Venture Capital or Angel Fund.
  3. Core products design and sales/marketing strategy set up.
  4. Implement the company’s business decisions.
  5. Re-Structure the company’s policies, HR policies, operational needs and flow.
  6. Monitor administrative controls.
  7. Provide instructions to Marketing VP and Manager to formulate promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning.
  8. Hire, and train regional VP, middle managers, or other staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions

Candidates Requirement:

  1. University Degree majoring in Information Technology and Management
  2. 5 year plus startup company CEO experience.
  3. 3 years plus public company executive management experience (VP level or up).
  4. 5 year plus IoT technology industry experience.
  5. Local Start Up successful funding experience a great asset.
  6. Multi-National Company management position experience a great asset.
  7. Multi-language skill a great asset.

Nanny

We are a private household looking for an experienced Nanny/Home Child Care Provider (NOC 4411) for our two children (a 2-year-old and 2-month-old) in the Yorkville area of Toronto, ON. Please note this is not a live-in position. Absolutely no phone calls or drop-ins, please.

Location: 74 Hazelton Avenue, Toronto, Ontario
Working hours: 30 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time

Main duties:

• Supervise and care for children in employer’s residence for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Bathe, dress and feed the older child and the baby.
• Prepare formulas and change diapers
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for children
• Do laundry, making sure children have a constant supply of clean clothes
• Cleaning up after the kids- putting toys away, cleaning up spills and messes etc.
• Occasional vacuuming of floors in the home, emptying the dishwasher
• Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods – make sure the infant is fed and gets enough sleep and the older child has their afternoon nap
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home – make sure that the toys children play with are safe and clean; ensure that the older child does not climb on stairs or get into dangerous situations
• Instruct children in personal hygiene – make sure their teeth are brushed after meals and hands washed before meals
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
• Comfort children when they are crying/hurt/upset, calm them when they are frustrated.
• Take children to the park/playground and encourage them to play with other children. Encourage them to share the space with other children.
• Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• Take children to and from appointments, when necessary
• Keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.

Job requirements:

• Valid CPR/First Aid certificate
• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a Child Care related diploma program
• At least 2 years of experience working as a nanny
• Experience working with infants
• References required
• Good English language skills
• Able to perform child care work and lift at least 25lbs to bathe and take care of the children and the household
• Valid driver’s license
