Loaded Pierogi is currently seeking a Restaurant Manager to look after the Toronto restaurant.  Loaded Pierogi is proudly Canadian and is an established brand with recognition across the nation serving endless flavour combinations of pierogis, poutines, and mac & cheese. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading restaurant operations with a focus on delivering high quality service while maximizing our guest satisfaction. You will hire, train, and inspire the people that make your restaurant standout. You will also be held accountable for meeting budgets from a sales and cost perspective.

 

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, have exceptional problem-solving skills, be results-oriented and most important have a high standard in customer service.

As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible to:

  • Maintain operation standards by implementing policies and procedures. Drive sales through exceptional guest service.
  • Organize shift scheduling and supervise employees.
  • Adjust schedules throughout the week to meet operational demands.
  • Actively pursue cost saving measures.
  • Analyze food statistics through point-of-sale system & help to maintain budget numbers
  • Oversee the hiring, recruiting, and training of new staff.
  • Ensure staff are trained properly to ensure awareness of the products used and accuracy of recipes are followed.
  • Manage performance of team members, including conducting performance evaluations, training, coaching, feedback, and discipline.
  • Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business.
  • Check the status of all orders and ensure that they are delivered within designated timelines.
  • Establish contacts with suppliers.
  • Actively monitor food portions, waste, and spillage. Ensure proper recording is done and that everything is matching up.
  • Actively provide feedback and implement changes to reduce Spillage/waste.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, secure, and healthy environment to work in. This includes the entire restaurant, storage areas, office spaces and bathrooms.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment policies.
  • Resolve guest complaints with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items.
  • Maintain customer service standards at the highest level.
  • Develop and implement promotions calendar for restaurant.

Caregiver for children in private household

Provide ongoing child care for our 11, 9, and 6 year old children including their well-being, physical and social development by assisting us with child care and household duties

  • Supervise and care for children in employer’s or own residence
  • Bathe, dress and feed children
  • Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties
  • Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
  • May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.

Wage: $18/hour

Language of work: English

Terms of Employment: 2 years full-time, 30 hours per week

No formal education required, but previous experience working as a child caregiver required
