Laundry Supervisor

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Type: Full-time

Roles & Responsibilities

•         Supervision: Supervise, allocate, and coordinate the tasks of staff performing washing, dry cleaning, ironing, pressing, folding, and packing duties.

•         Task Coordination: Collaborate with the Manager to prepare task schedules and procedures, and report any work-related problems.

•         Training: Provide training to new employees on processes and safety procedures.

•         Inventory Management: Monitor supplies and materials and communicate their status to the Manager.

•         Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all machinery and equipment are operating smoothly and schedule maintenance and repairs as required.

•         Operational Duties: Perform the same tasks as the employees under supervision, track output, and conduct quality checks.

 

Requirements:

•         Proven experience in laundry operations supervisory role.

•         Strong organizational and coordination skills.

•         Ability to train and manage staff effectively.

•         Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

•         Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment maintenance.

Tasks

  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
  • Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation)
  • Installing machinery and equipment
