Summary

The cook should be able to work as a team member as well as independently. Take orders and prepare all menu items. Cook and prepare a variety of food products including meats, poultry, vegetables, sauces and other food products using a variety of equipment and utensils.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •     Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas and unbaked pizzas on our menu under cooking instructions.
  •     Make house-made dipping sauces, herb butter and pasta meat sauce.
  •     Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and rules, policies and procedures.
  •     Maintain a clean and sanitary work and service area including tables, shelves, walls, oven, refrigeration and other equipment.
  •     Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager.
  •     Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  •     Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to the shift supervisor.
  •     Inform the shift supervisor / manager immediately of product shortages.
  •     Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  •     At least one year of restaurant experience, pizza shop preferred.
  •     Ability to work in fast-paced kitchen environment.
  •     Good team player to work with other staff.
  •     Quick learning and good memorization to get familiar with our menu.
  •     Exceptional grooming and hygiene habits, food safety knowledge
  •     Good knowledge of modern methods, materials and appliances used in a mid-scale food preparation and service
  •     Ability to plan work and coordinate activities to meet meal schedules, including performance evaluation and disciplinary action recommendations.
  •     Be able to work in a tense working environment with a standing position for an entire shift.
  •     Fit body to be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 30 lbs.

Wage $14/Hour
Hours of Duty 40 Hours/Week
Overtime $21/Hour exceeding 40 Hours/week

Tasks
Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Storytelling
Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
