Responsibilities

Tasks:

  • Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower grade mobilizations
  • Assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans
  • Explain procedures, risks and benefits to clients
  • Maintain records of treatments given
  • Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body
  • Suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques
  • Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists

Working Conditions: Salary $23.00 per hour, permanent, regular, full time: 35 hours per week, night shifts.

Requirements: Secondary (high) school, 3 -5 years of experience in baking from scratch, including in specialty of Eastern European baking, personal suitability: accurate, dependability, reliability, team player, attention to detail, manual dexterity, able to work in the fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, with tight deadlines, able to work nights 9pm-4am, Thursday and Saturday off.

Tasks: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders, baking traditional breads and pastries as per Eastern European recipes, making dough and batters from scratch mostly by hand or with some mixing machines,  prepare batters, doughs, fillings, bake mixed dough and batters, draw up production schedules, ensure that the quality of products meets established standards,  inspect kitchen and food service areas, operate machinery, set time and speed controls for mixing machines, or blending machines, or mixes by hand so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions, measure or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, prepare garnishes as needed for baked goods, Prepare products for customers with food allergies or intolerances if requested, maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage and refrigeration, keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products, follow up hygiene and safety procedures
