Job responsibilities
- Mix, pour and spread materials
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
- Pave and rake asphalt
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites
- operate various power and hand tools, drills, and skid loaders
- clean and prepare construction sites, including setting up scaffolding, removing and disposing of debris, and digging trenches
- shovel materials to and from job site, including dirt and asphalt
- follow safety procedures and report violations to management
- maintain a clean and safe site by handling and storing materials, picking up and removing tools and equipment, and securing job site
- loading and unloading construction materials and moving to work area
Job skills and qualifications
- one or more year's experience in residential construction
- ability to lift heavy equipment
- ability to travel during the week or weekend
- excellent stamina
- to do well in this role you should be physically fit, reliable and be a hard worker with 1 year home construction/renovation experience
- have a valid Canadian work permit
- Salary 23.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week
- Permanent employment/Full time
