LUBRICATION TECHNICIAN – AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR

Location:  Jiffy Lube, 5405 Discovery Way Leduc, AB T9E 8N4

Salary: $21.00 / hour / 30.00 to 35.00 hours per Week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment; Full time

Working hours will be during:  Day, Evening, Morning, Night, Overtime may be required, Shift, Weekend, holidays

Start date: as soon as possible

Education:   Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience:  7 months to less than 1 year; we are also willing to train

Work site environment:  Confined spaces, Dusty, Noisy, Non-smoking, Odours

Tasks:

  • Change oil and filters
  • Replace air and cabin filters
  • Change wiper blades
  • Change gear oils and transfer case fluids
  • Rotate tires
  • Perform power steering flushes
  • Replace headlights

Security and safety:  Basic security clearance

Transportation/travel information:   Valid driver's license

Responsibilities


Tasks

  • Prepare reports or case histories
  • Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services
  • Develop specialized rehabilitation programs
  • Implement life skills workshops
  • Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
  • Conduct follow-up assessments
  • Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety
  • Implement substance abuse treatment programs
  • Implement behaviour management programs
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
  • Establish registry of special needs support workers
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
  • Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
  • Manage events
  • Manage knowledge
  • Offer mentoring
