About This Role:

We are investing in technology to empower business growth and bring easy-to-use and transparent lease and financing application processes to newcomers and temporary residents in Canada. You will be primarily working on the following tasks:

  • Design, develop and maintain the internal resource planning application for Go Luxury Cars to support multiple business functions. Including logistics and inventory, staff and accounting, trade-ins and sales, lease and financing applications, parts and maintenance department, appointment management, service inspection.
  • Design, develop and maintain mobile and web applications to automate and enhance clients’ auto lease and finance application process with the end goal to increase sales close rate.
  • Engage in up-front development sessions with internal stakeholders to design solutions focused on simplicity, performance, availability, and extensibility.
  • Code, iterate and integrate software systems and modules, and prepare technical documentation and user manuals related to the software upon delivery of each phase.
  • Conceptualize the application interface, establish the main functional framework, and propose solutions to integrate external service vendors and platforms data.
  • Gather application usage data and requirements to export reports and improve the function of software and system and logical specification based on the results.
  • Improve and maintain relevant IT functions and usages to prevent technical issues, identify potential errors and resolve problems to ensure stable business operation.
  • Routinely evaluate and assess the applications to ensure their reliability and provide timely feedback and solutions to tickets and reports.
  • Monitor and track performance, and keep optimizing application to maximize user satisfaction
  • Explore the possibility of applications to connect with offline services and expand the audience and user scenarios of the mobile application

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, or computer systems engineering is required.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in software design and development.
  • Industry experience in automobiles, freight transportation and customs clearance, or consumer credit score systems such as Sesame Credit is preferred.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining test suites through formal methods of test design.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle, data governance policies and technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as C++, .NET, Python and can code independently, in-depth understanding of Enterprise Applications Integration.
  • In-depth analytical skills and can think outside of the box.
  • Attention to detail

Sushi Preparer/ Sushi Kitchen Helper (NOC 65201)

Golden Sakura Sushi Restaurant is Whitehorse's destination for fresh Japanese seafood, sushi, and sashimi, also widely known for its excellent robatas.  As the business is growing rapidly, we are now looking for more experienced sushi kitchen helpers to join our culinary team and prepare delicious plates for our Japanese food lovers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum more than 3 years of experience as Sushi Kitchen Helper or similar role in a restaurant setting (employment reference check is required)
  • Candidate with formal culinary training or certification is an asset
  • Good acknowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
  • Great fish cutting skills
  • Hard working and detail oriented
  • Flexibility to take on various shifts and available to work on weekends/evenings
  • Great team player
  • No requirement for language, basic English

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all types of sushi, including sushi rice, maki, nigiri and sashimi
  • Select fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes
  • Add additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi and soy sauce, when appropriate
  • Manage food prep activities, like cooking rice, preparing sauces, cutting different types of fishes
  • Coordinate with servers to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies
  • Maintain clean work environment to prevent food contamination
  • Sterilizing all utensils and equipment used in sushi preparation before every use
  • Assist Sushi Chef with other job duties as assigned

Compensation: $16.5/hour with 2 weeks of annual vacation

Work Hours: 40 hrs/week by shifts
