Responsibilities

Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Develop quality management and quality assurance standards

Setting up ISO/IEC17025 laboratory for food control testing. Provides professional expertise, guidance and strong leadership in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO 17025 and GMP and other applicable regulatory requirements to proactively identify compliance issues/risks in all Nonclinical and Bioanalytical studies within the organization and its external partners.

Quality control and quality assurance for the laboratory activities based on ISO/IEC17025 requirements.

Training personnel to make them competent for Food control Laboratory based on ISO/IEC17025 requirements.

Establishing CREM Co’s Quality Assurance System and test methods for ISO/IEC 17025 and GMP, writing all SOP’s, forms and applying for accreditation

Addressing the potential findings of accreditation bodies to make sure CREM Co’s system complies with ISO/IEC 17025, GMP and OECD GLP

Supervising and leading CREM Co’s employee in different research and contract projects on environmental microbiology such as assessing different infection prevention and control technologies against virus, bacteria, fungi and mycobacteria the study follows the protocol, documents any deviations from the protocol and issues a final report

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.

2.Minimum 5 years of experience as Human Resources Specialist or higher.

3. Minimum 1 year of experience in the Entertainment and/or Animation Industry.

4.Previous computer experience with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.

5.Fluency with both Microsoft Office Suite software and Google Apps.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Lead the HR function by managing all HR activities for employees at the Vancouver location, providing dedicated support to the Vancouver Head of Production.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         HR Support and Solutions:

o    Provide day-to-day HR solutions, counsel, and support to the business.

o    Drive the execution of HR programs, including mentorship, coaching, and information sessions.

o    Collaborate with producers in managing their teams and providing advice on standards.

o    Support producers in team management and ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.

·         Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution:

o    Coach and educate managers on conflict resolution, performance management, effective communication, and teamwork.

o    Develop and maintain trusted relationships with leaders and employees to support issue resolution.

·         Performance Evaluation and Disciplinary Action:

o    Manage performance evaluation and disciplinary action processes, including coaching supervisors and attending meetings as warranted.

·         Onboarding and Offboarding:

o    Supervise onboarding and offboarding programs, including the analysis of exit data.

o    Ensure all paperwork and contracts are up-to-date and compliant with employment law standards.

·         Benefits Administration:

o    Oversee the HR team in managing onboarding and offboarding benefits, communicating benefits information, and tracking employees' use of benefits.

o    Review benefits utilization reports and manage renewals to ensure optimal benefits offerings.

o    Lead the benefits program for the Vancouver group, ensuring proper enrollment and termination of benefits coverage.

·         Data Analysis and Business Decisions:

o    Compile and analyze human capital data to assist in business decisions, critical discussions, and continuous improvement.

·         Process Improvement:

o    Continuously improve functional processes and implement value-added initiatives to support plant success.

·         HR Operations:

o    Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of the human resources department in Vancouver.

o    Ensure compliance with employment law standards and adherence to the collective bargaining agreement.

·         Recruitment:

o    Manage job postings on ATS, oversee the recruitment process, attend recruitment events, and coordinate attendance to ensure a presence at key events.

·         Visas and Work Permits:

o    Work with the Head of Production and legal counsel to facilitate sponsorship of visas and work permits.

o    Track and manage the start and expiration dates of visas and work permits in HRIS.

·         Employment Termination:

o    Oversee the termination process, including coordinating termination paperwork, conducting exit interviews, and notifying the Accounting Department regarding final checks and payout of accrued vacation time.

·         Status Changes and Documentation:

o    Process forms for termination, rate changes, address changes, etc.

o    Coordinate efforts with the Accounting Department to collect relevant documents proving residency and citizenship in British Columbia.

o    Maintain appropriate HR files and online records accessible to senior management.

·         Supervision:

o    Supervise the HR team, create and monitor performance tasks, evaluate performance, set goals, and provide mentorship.

·         Internship Program:

o    Set curriculum for interns, coach supervisors and managers, assess intern performance, and maintain accurate records of internships.

·         Other Duties:

o    Perform other duties as assigned.
