Cashier (NOC 65100)

Job Duties

  • Welcome clients
  • Determine the cost of the goods, services, or entrance and use an electronic cash

register, another cash register, an optical price scanner, or other equipment to

calculate the total amount that must be paid

  • Weigh bulk items and produce, accept and handle payments made with a credit card, debit card, cash, or check
  • Pack items or put them in bags, provide clients with information, and compute the foreign exchange rate
  • At the conclusion of the work shift, tally the payments you received and compare it to the total sales
  • When selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or cigarette goods, make sure the customers are of legal age
  • Possibly replenish shelves and tidy the area around the checkout station

  • Overtime Pay (1.5 times of hourly wage after 40 hours of working in a week and or after 8 hours in a given day).

Food Service Supervisor

– Establish methods to meet work schedules

– Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food

– Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures

– Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation

– Hire food service staff

– Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards

– Prepare budget and cost estimates

– Address customers’ complaints or concerns

– Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage

– Prepare and submit reports

– Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
