Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education

High school completion or equivalent experience required.

Training in esthetics or a Nail Technician certification from a college or vocational program is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of  experience performing a full range of nail services, including:

  • Manicure

  • Pedicure

  • Acrylic nail sets and fills

  • Gel extensions / builder gel

  • Nail art

  • Dip powder nails

  • Removal of enhancements

  • Sanitation and infection-control procedures

  • Gel polish overlay on natural nails

  • Maintenance fills for acrylic/gel

 

SKILLS

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently

  • Strong attention to detail and creativity

  • Excellent understanding of sanitation & hygiene standards

  • Strong customer service skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Prepare clients for services by discussing their preferences and recommending nail styles, colours, and designs.

  • Clean, trim, shape, and buff natural nails for manicures and pedicures.

  • Perform spa pedicure services, including foot soak, cuticle care, exfoliation, massage, and polish application.

  • Apply and remove artificial nails, including acrylic, gel, and dip powder systems.

  • Provide gel and acrylic nail extensions, including sculpting, fills, repairs, and maintenance.

  • Create custom nail art and designs, including hand-painted art, 3D designs, ombré, encapsulation, and other decorative techniques.

  • Remove nail enhancements safely to protect natural nail health.

  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation at all times, following all hygiene and infection-control procedures.

  • Provide product demonstrations and recommend aftercare products to clients.

  • Deliver high-quality customer service to ensure client satisfaction during and after each appointment.

  • Build and maintain a regular client base through consistent, professional service.
